Visiting the Research Center

The Research Center is available by appointment only during regular Museum hours. To make an appointment to visit the Research Center to view collections, please submit the online Research Request Form. Please include comprehensive information about your project so that we may better serve you. The more specific you are with your research request, the easier it will be for us to identify the resources you need and for us to further assist you.

Visiting researchers will be asked to check their coats and all bags (including purses, briefcases, and laptop cases) with the Archivist. Allowable items include laptops, tablet devices, cell phones, loose-leaf paper, pencils, and digital cameras only. Please do not bring pens, enclosable items (such as folders, envelopes, or notebooks), or food and drink.

Digital photography is allowed; however, authorization is subject to the condition of the material and any restrictions that may be in place. Additionally, the Archivist reserves the right to review all digital images taken during a visit. Document and photograph reproduction services are also available for a fee. The Research Center reserves the right to deny reproduction of any material that could be physically damaged during the reproduction process. All reproductions, including any images taken with a digital device are to be used for research purposes only.
