The Schulz Museum offers classes in cartooning, animation, character design, and other arts throughout the year for children and adults. Classes are taught by professionals focusing on their area of expertise. Students of all skill levels are welcome.

Girl Scout Day • 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Art abounds at the Schulz Museum with hands-on activities focused on the Girl Scout Artist badges. Brownies will paint with sticks and twigs and use color in new ways. Juniors will experiment with different materials, techniques, and perspectives. Cadettes will work on their comic artist badge and Daisies will get started on their Inspired by Animals Journey. Also meet live artists and cartoonists, ice skate at Snoopy’s Home Ice, and earn a Schulz Museum Fun Patch. Advance reservations required. Spend five Saturdays learning basic coding and how to develop a computer game from conceiving characters to building a world and earning points.

Earn your Comic Artist badge in this special, hands-on workshop just for Girl Scout Cadettes. Take a trip through the looking glass for a celebration of the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland. Explore optical illusions by designing spinning tops and thaumatropes. Have fun making your own books and just so you’re not too late, make clocks with sand and water. Also ice skate at Snoopy’s Home ice after your Museum visit. Brownies are invited to spend a night at the Schulz Museum. Sleep over at the Museum and design your own stamp and letterbox. Then search the Museum for clues left by other troops to complete all of the Letterboxer badge requirements. Experience art, cartooning, animation and all the Schulz Museum has to offer after dark and get ready for a surprise visit by a special guest! Dinner and continental breakfast included.
