The Schulz Museum offers three unique, hands-on classroom experiences designed to introduce students to cartooning, animation, and Charles Schulz through a variety of drawing and art activities. The Museum can visit up to four classes in a day, depending on your site’s schedule.

ABOUT OUTREACH PROGRAMS FROM THE MUSEUM
Each classroom visit is 60-75 minutes in length, depending on class schedule. Reservations should be made at least three weeks in advance.
For all grades, kindergarten through grade 6 and above.
FOR K–2ND GRADE
Peanuts on the Go
Learn about local icon Charles Schulz and Peanuts by learning how to draw Snoopy or Charlie Brown and creating several crafts to take home, including a Snoopy puppet, Snoopy ears, and finger print cartoon characters. Supports grades K–2 Common Core
FOR 3RD–6TH GRADE
The Creative Process
Walk through the creative process from inspiration to finished product to craft an individual and group project. Learn to draw some Peanuts characters, create a 4-panel comic strip, and work collaboratively on a stop-motion animated short using the Museum’s iPads. Supports grades 3–6 Common Core
Cartooning in Your Classroom
Explore the art of cartooning and animation! Students will create a comic strip, hand-drawn animated sequence for the zoetrope, and experiment with basic stop-motion computer animation. Supports grades 3–6 Common Core
TIMES AND FEES
Program Length: Each classroom visit is 60-75 minutes in length, depending on class schedule.
$150 for one class (maximum of 32 students)
$250 for two classes ($125 per class)
$300 for three classes ($100 per class)
$100 for additional classes over three on same day

Fee Assistance Available: The Schulz Museum is committed to making its programs available to everyone. We offer full and partial fee assistance for schools and groups in need of financial aid.
