Meet, watch, and talk to Pixar animator and director Bobby Podesta as he talks about his debut graphic novel, North for the Winter, at 1:00 pm, followed by a book signing.
Podesta, whose Pixar works include Toy Story (2, 3, and 4); Monsters, Inc.; Finding Nemo; The Incredibles; Cars (1 and 3); and Inside Out (1 and 2), will share the process of creating North for the Winter, a middle-grade graphic novel about two kids and a lost reindeer.
ABOUT BOBBY PODESTA
Bobby Podesta has been drawing cartoons for longer than he can remember and published his first newspaper comic strip while still in high school. After attending college at CalArts, Podesta began working at Pixar Animation Studios, where he has contributed as an animator, story artist, supervising animator, and director on several of their films and series, including A Bug’s Life; Toy Story (2, 3, and 4); Monsters, Inc.; Finding Nemo; The Incredibles; Cars (1 and 3); Inside Out (1 and 2); The Good Dinosaur; Finding Dory; Onward; and Soul. North for the Winter is his graphic novel debut. He lives in Oakland, California, with his wife, daughter, son, some chickens, a spoiled cat, and a pretty cute dog. He still draws cartoons every day.
