Disney Artist Eric Bouffard

Meet, watch, and talk to Eric Bouffard, matte painter for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Bouffard will discuss his work creating backgrounds and environments for the new release Strange World, as well as for Encanto and Raya and the Last Dragon.

Kids Night at the Museum: Holiday Tales

Get your holiday shopping done while the kids enjoy after-hours fun at the Schulz Museum. Kids will have the Museum to themselves for a pizza dinner, games, cartooning, and holiday crafts! Recommended for ages 5­–10. Advance Registration required.

Discover the science of snow with a morning of fun winter-themed science activities! Make fizzy ice, popping snow, and a snowstorm in a jar! Instructor: Michael Marquez

Holiday Cards & Cartoons (Grades 4–6)

Spend five mornings drawing and painting cartoons, comics, and creative holiday cards, including colorful scenes from A Charlie Brown Christmas, with artist Barbara Golden. Learn fine art skills like sketching, shading, outlining, coloring, and painting while making holiday masterpieces to gift or hang at home.

Holiday Gift-Making (Grades K–3)

Sign your little elves up to make a variety of fun and creative gifts to give for the holidays! Mix minty sugar body scrub, decorate a photo holder, and more. Instructor: Tami Tsark

Arctic Animals (Grades K–3)

Journey to the arctic tundra and learn how penguins stay dry when they swim. Make a snowy owl and penguin craft, and test your penguin skills in a wobbly relay race! Instructor: Michael Marquez

Kids Cook for the Holidays (Grades K–3)

Warm your heart and tummy by making holiday treats to give and eat! Make snowy yogurt parfaits and grinch fruit kabobs, package up hot chocolate, and bundle cookies in a jar to take home. Instructor: Tami Tsark

Reindeer Games (Grades K–3)

Jump, run, hop, and limbo your way through a festive, fun take on the Winter Olympic games. Create and play snowperson bowling, enjoy a candy cane scavenger hunt, make reindeer chow, and craft a special reindeer ornament. Instructor: Michael Marquez

Holiday Upcycle (Grades K–3)

Create eco-friendly holiday crafts, cards, and ornaments using recycled materials and your imagination! Make wrapping paper, an egg-carton garland, and an upcycled reindeer. Instructor: Tami Tsark

Art Lab (Grades K–3)

Get messy mixing art and science. Make a tie-dye crown, color-changing playdough, and recycled robots! Instructor: Michael Marquez

Crazy Contraptions (Grades K–3)

Get ready, set, and go this holiday season with projects that move in mysterious ways. Build a marble snow run, a mini winter sled, and paint with wheels and whipped cream! Instructor: Michael Marquez

LEGO Animation 1 (Grades K–3)

Work in groups to build sets and characters with LEGOs. Add sound effects and titles, and practice editing to make short stop-motion movies. Instructor: Michael Marquez

Winter Lights & Luminaries (Grades K–3)

In the Kitchen (Grades 4–6)

Snoopy’s Snow Day (Grades K–3)

It’s starting to look a lot like winter! Build a marshmallow snowperson, create penguin poppers, and make symmetrical snowflakes. Also, search for Snoopy all over the Schulz Museum! Instructor: Angelica Blancas-Mims

Manga & Pokémon (Grades 4–6)

Spend three mornings learning to draw your favorite manga and Pokémon characters. Join artist Barbara Golden to practice sketching and shading with pencil lines, outlining with black ink, and adding color to your manga art.

iPad Movie-Making (Grades 4–6)

Jump into the director’s seat and make your own mini-movies! Use green screens and iPads to bring your ideas to life using stop-motion animation and iMovie for live-action adventures. Instructor: Michael Marquez

Creativity Camp (Grades K–3)

Paint, stamp, cut, and color to make masterpieces. Blend colors to make Monet-inspired waterlilies. Use lines, shapes, and colors to make rainbows, butterflies, and monsters, too. Instructor: Angelica Blancas-Mims

Flurries of Fun (Grades K–3)

While the weather outside is frightful, have fun with hot chocolate and a movie in the Museum theater! Also, make a winter-weather bird feeder for Woodstock and his friends, a cup cozy, and a graham cracker candy house. Instructor: Museum staff

Things That Fly (Grades K–3)

Fly away and find Woodstock and Snoopy as the Flying Ace all over the Museum. Then make a variety of projects that fly, like origami airplanes, a butterfly kite, and more. Instructor: Angelica Blancas-Mims

Happy New Year, Charlie Brown!

Enjoy fun crafts for kids, make a balloon Snoopy, and watch Happy New Year, Charlie Brown! on the big screen. Plus, ring in 2023 with an Up Down Balloon Drop and Baby Balloon Drop (for children 4 and under and their families) at Noon, and a second Balloon Drop at 3:00 pm! Doors open at 10:00 am; admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Game Day (Grades K–3)

Get your game face on for a morning of team challenges and fun! Discover who can build the tallest tower out of straws, explore the Museum with an iPad scavenger hunt, and make your own board game to take home. Instructor: Michael Marquez

Peanuts & Kids Cook (Grades K–3)

Make some of the Peanuts Gang’s favorite foods with a new twist. Bake pasta-skewer pizzas, pup-peroni pizza bites, and mac and cheese in a mug. Instructor: Michael Marquez

Superheroes & Sidekicks (Grades K–3)

Activate your imagination and explore storytelling through comics. Learn to draw daring heroes and their super sidekicks, make comic strips and books, and create your own simple animation. Instructor: Michael Marquez

Art and Adventure Sleepover

Brownies are invited to spend the night at the Schulz Museum. Experience art, cartooning, animation, and all the Schulz Museum has to offer after dark! Advance registration is required.
