Enjoy free admission to the Museum all day and a last chance to explore the Snoopy’s Family exhibition, which closes on September 16. From 11:00 am-1:00 pm, meet cartoonists Sequoia Blankenship and Rob Thompson as they share their debut graphic novel Feo the Chupacabra published by Abrams Fanfare. Also, work with Arion Press to experiment with basic printmaking.
ABOUT SEQUOIA BLANKENSHIP
Sequoia Blankenship is a writer who loves stories, film, comics, and cajeta. He has been drawing and telling tales (not just to get out of trouble) for as long as he can remember, and has had the good fortune to work and animate at Pixar Animation Studios for 24 years (way longer than anyone expected). His animation has appeared in such films as Ratatouille, Coco, Hoppers, and Toy Story 5, to name a few. Sequoia lives with his family in Petaluma, California, the self-proclaimed “Butter and Eggs Capital of the World,” which means they have to watch their cholesterol.
ABOUT ROB THOMPSON
Rob Thompson is an animator currently living in California. He has worked on several Pixar films, including Ratatouille, Toy Story 3, Inside Out 2, and Hoppers. Thompson grew up in San Diego, where he spent many hours hiding from the sun in local comic book shops. He lives with his girlfriend and their two chupacabras.
