Be the reason behind someone’s smile! Junior Volunteers (ages 12-13) play a crucial role in the success of the Schulz Museum’s programs for younger audiences.
Their primary focus is ensuring the well-being and happiness of participants while gaining valuable experience facilitating group activities, providing emotional support, and mentoring younger children.

Junior Volunteer Requirements
- Age 12–13
- A photo ID. If volunteer doesn’t have a photo ID, a parent ID is required
- A non-refundable $60.00 program fee ($48.00 for Museum Members) will be charged to cover the cost of application processing, training, and materials.
- Consider volunteering for as many opportunities as your schedule permits—Junior Volunteers are encouraged to volunteer throughout the year and to complete at least 20 volunteer hours annually
- Participation in all relevant orientation and in-person training
- Support the Schulz Museum’s mission by always interacting in a friendly and helpful manner to welcome visitors and enhance their time at the Museum
- Choosing an assignment appropriate to your interests, abilities, and time

Junior Volunteer Available Times
Camps (most needed):
Spring, Summer, Thanksgiving, and Winter Breaks
- Monday through Friday
- Half-day (8:45 am-12:45 pm or 12:45-4:30 pm) and full-day (8:45 am-4:30 pm) options
Kids Nights and Scout Events:
Typically eight times a year
- Saturdays
- 5:15–9:00 pm
Other programs occur at various times throughout the year.
Junior Volunteer Benefits
- Annual appreciation party
- Museum tracks and can report hours (by request)
- The program fee is a one-time charge that covers the entire duration of the volunteer’s involvement with the Museum
- Discounts on Schulz Museum memberships, as well as on purchases at the Museum Store, Snoopy’s Gallery and Gift Shop, and the Warm Puppy Café; ice skating passes at Snoopy’s Home Ice (by request)

Once your application is submitted, the Volunteer Department will contact you to schedule an orientation and training. At your training, additional documentation will be provided. If you would like to review the Volunteer Agreement in advance, click here.
Bilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply! If you are fluent in any language other than English, including American Sign Language, there are often opportunities to greet visitors in their own language.
