Online Workshops
Cartooning in Your Classroom
Recommended for Grades 1 and up
This live, interactive experience includes an introduction to Charles M. Schulz, Peanuts, and the Schulz Museum followed by a guided drawing of several of Schulz’s most popular characters. Participants will need their own paper, pencil, eraser, and imagination as they learn to draw Snoopy and other Peanuts characters along with the basics of drawing different emotions and using the visual language of cartoons to tell stories.

Art of the Story
Recommended for Grades 3 and up
Learn how Charles M. Schulz used his life experiences to develop characters and convey stories in four cartoon panels. Explore the key elements of a story and learn to tell your own story with images in a hands-on, online cartoon workshop.

Charles M. Schulz: An American Cartoonist
Recommended for Grades 3 and up (perfect for adult and senior audiences too)
Take a pictorial journey through Charles M. Schulz’s life and career and learn why Peanuts is one of the most popular and influential comic strips ever. This multi-disciplinary discussion touches on history, visual arts, and language arts Common Core standards and explores the creative process.

Schulz, Peanuts, and the art of creating comics includes step-by-step drawing instruction of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Woodstock led by a Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates professional artist.

Joe Wos in Your Classroom
Recommended for Grades K and up
Professional cartoonist Joe Wos will lead students through guided drawing lessons that break down the art of cartooning into easy-to-follow instructions. This fast-paced, live instruction covers the art of visual storytelling, from basic line work to developing characters, and helps students understand their artistic abilities! Perfect for all skill levels.

ASSEMBLY: Cartooning and Storytelling with Joe Wos
All Grades and Levels
A lively and engaging program featuring storytelling and live cartoon illustration with cartoonist Joe Wos. Wos draws stories while he tells them and includes a short guessing game, two stories, up to 17 illustrations, and a short closing followed by a Q&A. Themes include bullying prevention, creativity and the arts, being yourself, world folktales, and many more.

ABOUT JOE WOS
A master maze-maker and cartoonist, Joe Wos is the artist behind the internationally syndicated feature MazeToons and the best-selling MazeToons book series. Wos has been a visiting cartoonist at the Schulz Museum since it opened in 2002 and has been performing his live illustrated storytelling nationwide for over 25 years.
