The Peanuts Tile Mural, designed by Japanese artist Yoshiteru Otani, is composed of 3,588 ceramic tiles—or about ten years’ worth of daily Peanuts comic strips published between 1956 and 1988. Otani hand-selected each strip to compose a secondary scene of Lucy holding a football for Charlie Brown.

The mural measures slightly larger than 17 x 22 feet and is composed of comic strip images printed on individual 2-by-8-inch ceramic tiles.
