All Wrapped Up
During the temporary closure of the Museum, some of the staff and I have been checking in on the galleries as needed to ensure all of the fine art and material collections are well cared for.
What follow are a few photos I took during a quick walkthrough this past week.
…
As I passed Wrapped Snoopy House, the life-size doghouse wrapped by Christo and Jeanne Claude about fifteen years ago, I wondered what Christo would think of it now.

Now, THIS is a really well-wrapped doghouse!
As I continued on, I found more of our gallery displays wrapped to protect them from unnecessary light exposure.

The Nursery Wall, a mural painted by Sparky in 1951 for his daughter Meredith, looks just as it did when the Museum received it in 2001.

The silence is deafening, but Sparky’s studio is well-protected.

The last of the cherry blossoms bloom in front of Othmar Hall, our new Education Building.
This may be an unusual spring, but I am hopeful for a brighter summer. Until then, the Museum remains safe and secure.
