Designed especially for children ages 1–5 and their caregivers, Museum Mondays features stories, arts and crafts activities, and movement games inspired by changing themes.
Cost: $5 per child/free for up to 2 adults before 11:00 am. Regular museum admission prices apply after 11:00 am. Free for members.

Celebrate the ABC’s with a special alphabet-themed storytime and a variety of hands-on crafts. Search for all the letters of the alphabet hidden around the galleries and visit My Gym outside in the Courtyard for movement activities. Plus, the first 30 children through the door will receive a free ABC book!
October 7 | Color of the Day: Orange
Explore the vibrant hues of the color orange through an assortment of hands-on activities: mix orange paint, tape and color a clown fish, watercolor with orange fruit, and make orange-scented playdough!
October 14 | Peanuts Around the World—FREE T-SHIRT!*
Celebrate the universal joy of Peanuts with a free Snoopy shirt for all children in attendance! Then explore activities from around the world: paint leaning towers of pasta, cut and paste shapes into capital buildings, and play with KEVA planks and blocks to build castles. Also, enjoy a special story time presented by the Sonoma County Library at 10:10 am and 11:00 am. *Choice of t-shirt size may vary
October 21 | A is for Autumn
Revel in the splendor of the fall season by tracing, cutting, and creating a giant handprint tree! Also, paint with apples halves and marbles on real leaves!
October 28 | Happy Halloween!
Come in costume and trick-or-treat all over the Schulz Museum! Plus, enjoy pumpkin-themed arts and crafts, and join My Gym for movement activities that stimulate gross motor skills and fun!
November 4 | Color of the Day: Yellow—FREE WOODSTOCK COMIC BOOK!
Discover all things yellow, including our favorite feathered friend—Woodstock! Receive a free Woodstock mini comic book and join us for colorful art and science activities: dissolve and paint with lemon drop candy, glue a yellow yarn creation, and sticker and Do-A-Dot a yellow Charlie Brown shirt.
November 11 | Friendly Pets—FREE ADMISSION!
Join us for a special storytime presented by the Sonoma County Library at 10:10 and 11:00 am. Then, create cat-themed crafts, assemble a sock bunny, and make a bird feeder! All visitors enjoy free admission in honor of Veterans Day.
November 18 | Ice Explorers—FREE ZAMBONI TOY!*
Prepare for the cold weather with cool crafts and activities, and receive a free Zamboni toy! Paint with toy cars and colored ice, and follow Museum staff to Snoopy’s Home Ice at 11:30 am to watch and learn about the Zamboni. *While supplies last
November 25 | Happy Thanksgiving with Joe Wos!
Enjoy live storytelling with cartoonist Joe Wos. Also, make crafts and snacks with popcorn, jelly beans, and toast like the Peanuts animated special, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, join My Gym for movement activities and an obstacle course.
December 2 | Color of the Day: Green
Green is great! Practice with scissors to make a “grass” crown with bug stickers, paint with green bell peppers, and collage a tree with various shades of green paper.
December 9 | Literary Aces: Fun with Books
Let your imagination soar with a variety of crafts inspired by classic children’s books: make rainbow fish playdough, Do-A-Dot a chameleon, and paint with forks to make whimsical trees. Also, join a special story time presented by the Sonoma County Library at 10:10 and 11:00 am.
December 16 | Rainforest Safari
Explore the bountiful rainforest by stringing a pipe cleaner pasta snake, gluing bright feathers to make a tropical bird, and designing a cardboard tube rain stick.
December 23 | Happy Holidays, Charlie Brown!
Get into the holiday spirit by decorating and stacking an egg carton tree, making a colorful Kwanzaa mat collage, and hand-painting a Chanukah menorah. Also, enjoy dancing and obstacle courses with My Gym.
December 30 | Happy New Year!
Countdown to the New Year with these celebratory art activities: make and design a party hat, drop the ball with marble ball painting, and mix confetti with slime!
