The Schulz Museum offers four unique, hands-on classroom experiences designed to introduce students to cartooning, animation, and Charles Schulz through a variety of drawing and art activities. The Museum can visit up to four classes in a day, depending on your site’s schedule.

About Outreach Programs from the Museum
Each classroom visit is 60-75 minutes in length, depending on class schedule. Reservations should be made at least three weeks in advance.

FOR K–2ND GRADE
Peanuts on the Go
Learn about local icon Charles Schulz and Peanuts by learning how to draw Peanuts characters and creating several crafts to take home, including a Snoopy puppet, and Snoopy ears. Supports grades K–2 Common Core
FOR 3RD–5TH GRADE
NEW!—To the Moon, Snoopy!
Discover Snoopy’s connection to NASA, from the journey to the Moon in 1969 to the Artemis missions today. Engage in hands-on and group-based activities—make a constellation viewer, lunar lander, straw rockets, and more! Supports grades 3–5 Common Core
FOR 3RD–6TH GRADE
The Creative Process
Walk through the creative process from inspiration to finished product to craft an individual and group project. Learn to draw some Peanuts characters, create a 4-panel comic strip, and work collaboratively on a stop-motion animated short using the Museum’s iPads. Supports grades 3–6 Common Core
Cartooning in Your Classroom
Explore the art of cartooning and animation! Students will create a comic strip, hand-drawn animated sequence for the zoetrope, and experiment with basic stop-motion computer animation. Supports grades 3–6 Common Core
Times and Fees
Program Length: Each program presentation accommodates up to 34 participants and can be adapted to fit a 60-75 minute class period.
Program Fees:
$150 for one class presentation (up to 34 participants)
$275 for two class presentations on same day
$375 for three class presentations on same day
$475 for four class presentations on same day
PLUS current federal mileage rate per mile for round trip travel to your site and back.
Sites must be within an 80-mile radius of the Museum.
Need more than four class presentations? Each additional class presentation = $100 per class (up to 34 participants).
Fee Assistance Available: The Schulz Museum is committed to making its programs available to everyone. We offer full and partial fee assistance for schools and groups in need of financial aid. Fee assistance is limited and available for programs delivered between August and March only. Please request fee assistance when completing and submitting your program request form.
