Meet, watch, and talk to Eric Bouffard, matte painter for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Bouffard will discuss his work creating backgrounds and environments for the new release Strange World, as well as for Encanto and Raya and the Last Dragon.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Eric Bouffard graduated from the Academy of Art in San Francisco with a master’s degree in Visual Effects, majoring in Matte Painting.
Bouffard joined Dreamworks Animation in 2006, and in 2011, was promoted to matte painting supervisor on Rise of the Guardians and then supervised the highly anticipated How to Train Your Dragon 2.
In 2017, Bouffard joined the Matte Painting/Set Extension team at Walt Disney Animation Studios. He has worked on such films as Ralph Breaks the Internet, Frozen 2, Raya and the Last Dragon, Encanto, and various Theme park rides, shorts, and Disney+ content.
