Sparky once told me that his birthday fell on Thanksgiving every four years. I didn’t believe it and said something to that effect. He asked me why I would question someone who had lived it for more than fifty years! Of course, he was correct, and this year his birthday is once again on Thanksgiving.

This is a strange Thanksgiving, and so rather than gathering, I will drop some food offerings at the homes of my family and call it “well done.”
