Events at the Charles M. Schulz Museum give our visitors opportunities to: meet professional cartoonists; view some of Schulz’s favorite movies; create hands-on crafts; learn about different cartooning techniques; and attend Members-Only parties. At 1:00 pm, McDonnell will talk about his work in the Museum's Theater, followed by a book signing. Tickets are currently unavailable and details will be announced.
About the Cartoonist
Patrick McDonnell’s comic strip Mutts appears in over 700 newspapers in 20 countries. McDonnell has received numerous awards, including the National Cartoonists Society’s highest honor, the Reuben, for Cartoonist of the Year; and five Harvey Awards for Best Comic Strip. McDonnell also writes and illustrates children’s books including The Gift of Nothing (2005), which quickly became a New York Times best seller. Since then, he has produced nine additional children’s books including the 2012 Caldecott Honor winner, Me…Jane, a biography about the young Jane Goodall, and The Monsters’ Monster.
