New Website Launches Celebrating Sparky’s Life and Art
Most of our members will have seen some references to our plans to launch a ‘new and improved’ website. It has been a long but exciting process. As we began developing the redesign plans for the Museum’s website, we recognized the riches we have in the archives and collection of the Museum. I am thrilled that we can now share highlights from items housed within the Museum via the website. Featured items in the digital collection include pieces from the original strip collection, Peanuts tribute art, Sparky’s family photos, and personal artifacts.
The website also hosts an interactive timeline that chronicles the story of Sparky’s life using his own words as well as photographs and artifacts from the Museum’s collection. The redesigned site is launching with content from Sparky’s early life (1920s through 1940s) and as time goes on will unfold to encompass his entire life. This is my favorite part of the website because it really tells a story in words and pictures.
Our new site also makes all the transactions people have with the Museum easier and smoother. New and renewing members and donors will all have an easier time joining and renewing.
We hope you enjoy our beautiful new website, and all of the images and information we have to share.
