November 6, 2024—May 5, 2025
Strip Rotation Gallery
By the 1970s, Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts had entered its third decade and climbed to unprecedented popularity. Schulz’s philosophy in cartooning had also matured, striking a fine balance between fun and sincerity to give readers one of the strongest decades in any cartoon strip ever. In this exhibition, see over 50 original Peanuts comic strips from the Schulz Museum’s collection and explore how the 1970s brought in beloved additions, like Joe Cool, Woodstock, and Marcie, and introduced iconic storylines, from Mr. Sack to Sally’s Sweet Babboo.
