The Beagle has landed… at the Schulz Museum!
Into space with NASA in the 1960s, aboard the International Space Station, and now around the Moon as the zero-gravity indicator for the Artemis I mission—Snoopy has flown further than any human astronaut! See the historic Snoopys, now safely home on Earth, alongside other never-before-exhibited space-flown Peanuts artifacts!
This Peanuts comic strip was first published on March 8, 1969.
Snoopy, the zero-gravity indicator for NASA’s Artemis I mission (November-December 2022), is on view for the first time since returning to Earth.
On view in the exhibition is the Astronaut Snoopy that was aboard the International Space Station in November 2019.

This Astronaut Snoopy was part of a live telecast from the International Space Station during the November 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Photos shows the moment it was unveiled to join the Schulz Museum’s collection following its return to Earth.

Discover Snoopy’s ongoing role with NASA, from Apollo 10 to the Artemis space missions today! Panelists include Mike Massimino, former NASA astronaut; Charlie Blackwell-Thompson, launch director for NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems Program; and Melissa Menta, senior vice president of Marketing and Communications for Peanuts Worldwide. Moderated by Paige Braddock, chief creative officer of Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition, “Snoopy in Orbit” (July 13, 2023-July 14, 2024), the panel discussion was recorded at the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, California, on August 5, 2023.
