After a several year hiatus, this year I will be participating in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as a “balloon handler” for the Snoopy balloon. The parade is an amazing orchestration of thousands of moving parts woven together in a year-long exercise of precision. New Yorkers line the streets and windows of apartments along the route, never seeming to tire of the gift of this event, which begins the holiday season. I will share photos when I return.
