It’s the time of year for all sorts of baked treats. I was especially surprised when I stopped by the Museum and found this lovely cookie on my desk. It was from a volunteer whose daughter had decorated it. I imagine most of you would feel as I did … I was reluctant to eat this beautiful cookie, as it was such a work of art. But ultimately I had to give in and take a bite. It was delicious, and well worth overcoming my hesitancy at taking the first mouthful. Now, of course, I want to ask our volunteer if we can have dozens for our staff holiday party!! (Only kidding, I am grateful for what I have and would not ask that of someone else).
